Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead water projects across the UK. You will partner with top water clients to shape how we obtain, treat, and distribute water for communities, with opportunities to work on landmark UK projects.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and delivering from scoping to detailed design within budget and timescales. Chartered status and experience in water/MEICA are preferred, with flexible locations across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered status ideal with a professional institution membership.
• Experience in the water industry preferred; knowledge of Process and MEICA disciplines advantageous.
• Understanding of environmental issues including net carbon is preferred, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions from need to detailed design as part of a team.
• Support and manage project team members.
• Undertake scoping and design within required timescales and budgets.
• Produce and check technical reports.
