Job summary

Ramboll UK is seeking a senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead technical direction for Transmission & Distribution projects, including Substations, OHL foundations, and cable routes. You will mentor engineers, support client meetings, and help shape proposals with cost and programme input.

The role requires chartered status and 10+ years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of UK standards and National Grid/DNO specs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng/MICe/MIStructE).
• 10+ years in civil/structural with T&D exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across Substations, OHL foundations, cable routes, and T&D infra.
• Lead training and capability development for civil/structural engineers.
• Support bid, client meetings, and marketing; shape proposals and cost inputs.
• Guide project planning, resourcing and risk management.
• Advise on standards, CDM, and health & safety compliance.
