Job summary

RIDGE SURVEYORS LIMITED in Bristol is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the civil engineering delivery on complex development schemes and large infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients.

You will manage resources, liaise with clients and the internal design team, guide multi-disciplinary design work, oversee drawings and specifications, and contribute to pre-planning advice and drainage strategies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• Professional engineer with CEng or pursuing chartership.
• Member of ICE or equivalent professional body.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and drainage design tools.
• Demonstrated post-graduate design experience and problem solving.
• Experience with highways, drainage and building regulation interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of civil engineering elements on development schemes.
• Manage resources for timely and quality delivery of work.
• Interface with architects, building services, PMs and cost managers.
• Undertake project administration and financial management.
• Identify opportunities and prepare tender proposals.
• Represent Ridge in external liaison with clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate highways and drainage designs for large projects.
• Provide pre-planning advice including FRA and drainage strategies.
