Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP in Bristol seeks a Principal Engineer to lead civil engineering on large-scale infrastructure and development schemes for public and private clients. Qualifications

• Chartered engineer (CEng) or intent to become one.
• Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.) or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Infodrainage experience desirable.
• Post-graduation design experience.
• Experience in drainage and minor roadway design.
• Knowledge of highways and water industry agreements (Section 38/278/104/106/185).
• Experience leading project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of civil engineering elements on multi-discipline projects.
• Interface with architects, building services, project managers and cost managers.
• Undertake project administration and financial management.
• Identify opportunities and prepare tenders/proposals.
• Represent Ridge with clients, stakeholders and approving bodies.
• Coordinate highways and drainage designs for large schemes.
• Provide pre-planning advice, FRA, drainage strategies, and related services.
• Site visits for technical assessment and problem-solving.
