Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead civil engineering elements in Bristol within a multi-disciplinary team. You will liaise with clients and design teams to ensure delivery quality, drive proposals, and manage projects from conception through completion.

A chartered engineer or active pursuit is preferred, with strong CAD and BIM capabilities. You will coordinate highways and drainage designs, support pre-planning activities, and maintain clear client communications.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified as a chartered engineer (CEng) or keen to become chartered.
• Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of civil engineering elements on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Interface with clients and internal design teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Undertake project administration and financial management.
• Identify opportunities and prepare proposals for tender.
• Coordinate highways and drainage designs for large development schemes.
• Provide pre-planning advice including FRA, drainage strategies, and other guidance.
