Job summary
AFRY's Energy Division in the UK seeks an experienced civil engineer to lead energy projects from concept to detailed design, delivering drawings, estimates, and schedules. You will provide technical guidance, review designs and mentor junior engineers within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexible on office location with a hybrid working environment, and a strong focus on safety, sustainability and business development.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:1 degree in civil engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Detailed working knowledge of codes and standards used within the UK energy sector (Eurocodes and British Standards).
Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering aspects from concept to detailed design; deliver drawings, specs, estimates, and schedules.
- Provide technical guidance, review designs, and resolve challenges with practical, hands-on expertise.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and documentation, and support site activities through inspections and construction monitoring.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to health & safety, design, sustainability, and commercial factors.
- Represent the company professionally, support business development, and mentor junior engineers.
