Job summary

AFRY is seeking an experienced engineer to join its Energy Division, specifically the Thermal and Renewable Energy team in the UK. You will lead technical work across project stages, from feasibility studies to EPCM services, while supporting BD efforts and mentoring junior engineers.

The role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements across office locations including London, Oxford, Horsham or Manchester, with a strong emphasis on delivering sustainable engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status required.
• Relevant industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across design, analysis, and problem-solving for engineering projects.
• Deliver and review high-quality design outputs, reports, and documentation.
• Support construction through site inspections, testing, and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to business development and represent the company professionally.
• Mentor junior engineers and continuously develop technical expertise.
