Job summary

AFRY is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Energy Division in the UK, within the Thermal and Renewable Energy team. You will provide clients with technical leadership across project stages, including feasibility studies, FEED, EPCM and operations support.

Your role involves delivering high-quality design outputs, supporting construction, and mentoring junior engineers while contributing to business development and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status is required or highly preferred.
• Relevant industry experience in energy, utilities or engineering consulting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across design, analysis and problem-solving for engineering projects.
• Deliver high-quality design outputs, reports and documentation.
• Support construction through site inspections, testing and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to business development and represent the company professionally.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop technical expertise.
