Job summary

NHFT in Northamptonshire is recruiting an ambulatory Speech and Language Therapy Advanced Practitioner to provide strategic, population-level clinical leadership for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. The role collaborates with local authorities, ICB, education settings and universities to strengthen SLT services and expand mainstream education access.

• Masters level education or equivalent managerial experience.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development commitment.
• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.
• Advanced Practice capability or working towards NHSE Multi-Professional Framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives to strengthen the SLT workforce across education settings.
• Analyse workforce, service and population health data to identify improvements.
• Develop reports and business cases for system leaders to inform commissioning.
• Lead programmes to expand placements and workforce development.
