Job summary

KT Healthcare is seeking an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our SEND Therapies team in Northamptonshire. The role covers direct therapy, assessments, AAC support, staff and parent training, and written recommendations, in school and community settings.

You will support children with complex communication needs, with a flexible monthly support pattern and opportunities for further work as the service grows. HCPC registration required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with experience with children and young people.
• Experience in education or SEND settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of AAC assessment, implementation and training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy through individual, group or classroom-based sessions.
• Assess receptive and expressive language, speech and communication development.
• Develop and implement AAC strategies and paper/tech-based AAC.
• Provide training and guidance to parents, carers and education staff.
• Prepare written programmes, targets and recommendations for ongoing communication development.
