Job summary

Tripod Partners in Bristol is seeking a Qualified Social Worker with substantial child protection experience to strengthen safeguarding practice across the authority. You will chair strategy discussions and Child Protection Conferences, oversee Section 47 enquiries, and coordinate multi-agency decisions ensuring children’s best interests.

This role requires regular travel, an enhanced DBS, Social Work England registration, and the ability to manage high workloads in a fast-paced safeguarding

Qualifications

• Current Social Work England registration.
• Substantial post-qualifying statutory child protection experience.
• Ability to lead and chair complex multi-agency safeguarding meetings.
• Knowledge of significant harm and Section 47 thresholds.

Responsibilities

• Chair strategy discussions and Child Protection Conferences.
• Oversee Section 47 enquiries and CP plans.
• Guide and coordinate information sharing across partners.
• Analyse risk and evidence to support defensible decisions.
• Support continuous learning and reflective practice across safeguarding.
