Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a permanent, full-time Senior Child Protection post within the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team. You will lead strategy meetings, oversee Section 47 enquiries, and develop and review child protection plans while supervising practitioners across teams.

Applicants must have at least three years post-qualification frontline child protection experience and be registered with Social Work England.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional Social Work qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy meetings and child protection conferences across teams.
• Oversee Section 47 enquiries.
• Develop and review child protection plans.
• Identify and assess risk and make decisions on child protection cases.
• Guide families through the protection process with a collaborative approach.
• Provide consultation and supervision on decision making across the team.
• Advise and support social workers and practitioners to develop skills.
• Conduct reflective supervision and group sessions within the team.
