Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Poole is seeking a Senior Certification Engineer to act as the technical lead for certification of GSM-R and FRMCS onboard cab radio systems. You will manage end-to-end certification with NoBo and ApBo, coordinate with engineering teams, and support sales with expert compliance guidance.

The role blends high-level certification management with hands-on product engineering, including documentation, component configuration, and roadmaps, with travel to global sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with product approvals/certifications and the product engineering lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Strong problem solving and ability to write clear, concise technical documentation.
• Experience in GSM, 3G/4G/5G, IoT, hardware or software engineering is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical lead for product approvals, managing the end-to-end certification process with NoBo and ApBo.
• Monitor changes to industry standards and advise internal teams on regulatory shifts.
• Provide technical input to Sales and Bid teams, developing compliant solutions for tenders.
• Guide Hardware and Software Development, Project, and Accounting teams on compliance.
• Contribute to the technical evolution of GSM-R and FRMCS portfolios and support product roadmaps.
