Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Senior Booking Clerk for the Central Booking Service in the Children and Families Division. The role supports appointment booking, call management and data input, with a mix of home and office-based working.

You will rotate across CBS duties, ensuring calls are routed to clinicians and that RiO/Choose & Book systems are used accurately to support families and services.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with excellent telephone manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and rotate across CBS duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinics and waiting lists within Community Paediatrics, Child In Care, Inclusion Services, Health Visiting & EHC.
• Maintain accurate input of clinical activity data on the RiO system.
• Book appointments on RiO and Choose & Book; contact parents/carers to rebook after missed appointments.
• Call parents/carers to ascertain reasons for non-attendance and rebook within target timescales.
• Update RiO following notifications of deaths and ensure confidentiality in line with policy.
