Qualifications

• Full and specialist registration with GMC or eligibility within six months.
• Must have MBChB or equivalent.
• Must hold FRCPath or equivalent qualification.
• If UK trained, must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of CCT award.
• Non-UK trained applicants must show evidence equivalent to UK CCT/CESR.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive histopathology service.
• Assist in recruitment and appointment of staff.
• Coordinate rosters and allocate duties to staff.
• Attend Board meetings and participate in resource management.
• Manage departmental functions and delegate responsibilities.

Skills

Wide range of experience in Histopathology and Non‑Gynae Cytology

Interest in specialist areas including Dermatopathology, Oral/Head and Neck pathology

Effective communication skills

Good organisation skills

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment

Education

MBChB or equivalent

Full and specialist registration with the GMC

FRCPath or equivalent qualification

Evidence of academic excellence in Pathology
