Job summary

AIG's Catastrophe Research & Validation Team in London invites applications for a role leading review and ownership of peril region models. You will collaborate with US/London teams and external vendors, contribute to industry-leading analytics, and support model evaluation across Natural Catastrophe, Terrorism, and other perils.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Climate Science, Natural Hazards, Applied Statistics, or a related subject.
• Strong programming skills including R, Python and SQL.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative catastrophe risk research focusing on material peril regions.
• Support development of standardized risk views and best practices.
• Validate and evaluate vendor models and implement model changes/upgrades.
• Collaborate with Risk Management, Actuarial, Underwriting and ERM to document views of risk.
• Partner with Data Office on strategic data initiatives and vendor assessments.
