Job summary

American International Group, Inc. is seeking a Catastrophe Research Manager to lead model validation and research across perils and regions. You will manage a team of analysts, collaborate with leaders to standardize practices, and push for AIG's view of risk worldwide.

The role involves interaction with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulators, driving analytics, model development, and climate risk assessment across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of catastrophe research or model development experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience presenting catastrophe risk research to internal/external audiences.
• Hands-on knowledge of catastrophe modelling and model reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead Model Validation & Research for specific perils and regions; mentor analysts in Bengaluru.
• Collaborate with Cat Modelling Leadership to evaluate models and implement best practices.
• Support end-to-end catastrophe model evaluation and define the AIG View of Risk.
• Validate vendor models and propose adjustments to out-of-the-box views.
• Drive model changes, upgrades, and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Engage with regulators and risk management partners to document risk principles.
