Job summary

St Philip's Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant Nights at Cathedral Care Centre to lead and develop a team of care workers, delivering high standards of care with dignity and encouraging residents' independence.

You will support the Manager, step in during their absence, and help create a warm environment that respects residents' rights. NVQ3/MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it, plus experience in residential or nursing homes and medication administration, are desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home.
• Experience of Medication Administration.
• A passion for care of the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and co-ordinate a team of care workers to provide high standards of care with dignity and maximise independence.
• Support the Manager in overall management of the home.
• Assume responsibilities in the Manager's absence and ensure resident participation in care planning.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure safety and adherence to policies.
