Job summary

Hill Care Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to support residents in our care home. You will lead a small team, implement care plans with clinicians and family input, and ensure dignity and comfort for every resident.

You will supervise junior staff, maintain accurate records, administer medications as required, and participate in ongoing training to uphold high standards of Residential and Nursing care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in senior care.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on care experience.
• NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care is required.
• Experience with IT systems for record keeping is advantageous.
• Strong communication and compassionate care commitment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans with healthcare professionals.
• Communicate with residents, families, and care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and support junior staff, providing guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and changes.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in the care home.
• Participate in training on best practices in Residential and Nursing care.
• Administer medication to residents.
