Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer for one of our care homes in Exeter. You will lead a team of care staff, deliver person-centred support, and help maintain high standards of dignity and wellbeing for residents.

You’ll oversee training and supervision, assist with medication administration and care plans, and liaise with GPs, district nurses, and families. A warm, compassionate leader with NVQ3 or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in a residential care setting.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to resident wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff on shift.
• Administer and order medication.
• Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nurses and residents’ families.
• Support with training and supervision.
