Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer to lead a team of care staff in a welcoming home. You’ll oversee training, supervision and on-shift delegation while supporting with medication administration, chronic care planning and risk assessments.

The role focuses on delivering person-centred care, liaising with GPs and family members, and continuing professional development through our training programme.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in a residential care setting with leadership experience.
• Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to individualised care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff on shift including training and supervision.
• Assist with administering and ordering medications, reviewing care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and residents' families to ensure quality care.
• Ensure residents receive person-centred care and maintain a warm, welcoming environment.
