Job summary
Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer to lead a care team in a residential setting. You will train staff, supervise shifts and delegate duties, while supporting with medication administration and updating care plans.
The role requires NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, with prior residential care experience and strong leadership skills. A warm, compassionate approach is essential to delivering person-centred care.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Experience in a residential care setting.
- Proven team leadership skills.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions for residents' wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervisions and delegation on shift.
- Assist with administering and ordering medication and reviewing resident care plans and risk assessments.
- Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members.
- Ensure care is delivered with dignity, warmth and person-centred focus.
