Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Residential Senior Carer to lead a care team in a residential home, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care. You will oversee training, supervise staff, and assist with medication administration while coordinating with GPs, district nurses, and residents' families.

The role emphasises compassionate, warm care and career development through ongoing training. Successful applicants will have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and a track record in residential care

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care required.
• Previous residential care leadership experience essential.
• Demonstrated compassion and ability to deliver person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a care team on shift, including training and supervision.
• Administer and order medications and update care plans.
• Review risk assessments and liaise with GPs and nursing teams.
• Maintain dignity and a warm, welcoming environment for residents.
