Job summary

Cedar Lodge Care Home, Whitchurch on Thames, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant (Team Leader) for night shifts (8pm–8am). You will be at the heart of the home, building relationships with residents and ensuring a safe, compassionate environment.

This role offers a pro rata salary up to £33,176 per annum, up to 44 hours per week, and opportunities for development within EQ Care Group.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care required or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar environment desirable.
• Able to lead a care team with a patient, 'can do' attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead the care team at all times to ensure safe, effective care.
• Support residents to achieve outcomes through enabling approach.
• Represent Cedar Lodge with professionalism to residents and visitors.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

• To professionally lead the care team at all times to ensure a safe, effective and well lead care provision is maintained.
• Support the people in the home to achieve the outcomes they wish to achieve – through an enabling and supportive approach
• Represent the Cedar Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• Attend and actively contribute to team meetings.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
• Experience within a similar environment desirable
• You need to be flexible, patient, with a ‘can do’ caring attitude, and a real 'people person'
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
