Job summary

EQ Care Group is seeking a Client Relations Manager (Customer Focus Lead) for Cherry Tree Lodge in Kidderminster. The role focuses on compassionate outreach, engagement with NHS and social care teams, and driving occupancy while maintaining a high standard of patient and family experience.

The position requires a warm, proactive individual with strong communication skills and IT proficiency to support the Home Manager and lead community initiatives, ensuring the home becomes a trusted local care

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable.
• Flexible, patient with a caring attitude.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Meeting discharge teams at NHS and private hospitals.
• Liaising with discharge teams around referrals for our enablement suite.
• Ensuring the local area knows who we are and what we do.
• Fostering relationships with social work and mental health teams.
• Creating community events to break preconceptions of care homes.
• Supporting the Home Manager and Customer Experience Leads to create purposeful activity.
• Maintaining a day‑to‑day social media presence.
• Driving high scores on Google reviews and market tools.
• Thinking creatively for charity days and community drives.
• Being the face customers trust to find solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Meeting discharge teams at NHS and private hospitals
• Involvement in and liaison with discharge teams around referrals for our enablement suite
• Ensuring all businesses in the area know who we are and what we do
• Fostering fantastic relationships with social work and mental health teams
• Creating community events in order to break pre-conceptions of care homes
• Supporting the Home Manager and Customer Experience Leads to create purposeful activity
• Supporting the Home and Customer Experience Leads to ensure a day-to-day presence on social media including Facebook
• Driving scores high on Google reviews and Specialist Market tools
• Thinking outside the box – e.g charity days, supporting community drives or walking 26 miles!
• Being the face people trust to help get solutions to their needs
• Creating information events for older people and their families in the community
• Ensure the home is fully occupied
• Ensure the budgeted rate is achieved

Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable
• You need to be flexible, patient, with a ‘can do’ caring attitude, and a real 'people person'
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
