Job summary

Wood Care Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to provide comprehensive care for residents, supporting their physical, emotional and social well-being.

You will lead shifts, assist with daily living tasks and manage the medication round while maintaining high standards of safety and safeguarding. Training is provided, and applications from those without senior experience but with passion and a relevant qualification are welcome.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Health & Social Care or an equivalent certificate/diploma; training provided.
• Experience in a Care Home is desirable but not essential.
• Experience leading a team is desirable.
• Committed and organised approach to care.
• Confident communicator with verbal and written skills; flexible to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Care for residents' Physical, Psychological and Social needs.
• Assist with washing, personal hygiene, dressing and meals.
• Manage the medication round and lead the shift.
• Attend staff meetings and support ongoing staff development.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are understood and followed.
