Job summary

Wood Care Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to care for residents and lead shifts, delivering high-quality support across physical, psychological, and social needs. You will assist with personal care, meals and the medication round, and you will help supervise the team while ensuring safe, compassionate care.

We welcome applicants with or without prior senior experience who hold a relevant qualification, and we provide full training.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable but training is provided.
• Previous experience in a care/home setting is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of leading a team is preferred.
• A committed and organised approach is expected.
• Confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Care for residents' physical, psychological and social needs.
• Assist residents with personal care, dressing and meals.
• Responsible for medication rounds and leading the shift.
