Job summary

Wood Care Group in Barnsley is looking for a Senior Care Assistant to support residents with physical, psychological and social needs, including personal care, meal assistance and leading the shift. You would also be responsible for the medication round and guiding the team on shift.

We welcome applicants with or without prior senior experience but with a passion for care; Level 3 Health & Social Care is desirable. Full training is provided, and we value compassionate, reliable staff.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent desirable.
• Experience in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of leading a team.
• Committed and organised approach.
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Flexible to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cares for residents' physical, psychological and social needs.
• Assists residents with personal care, washing, dressing and meals.
• Responsible for medication round and leading the shift.
• Attends staff meetings and supports staff development.
• Safeguarding duties and maintaining a safe environment.
