Job summary

Agincare is recruiting for a Bank Night Senior Care Assistant at Sunnymeade care home in Chard. The role focuses on person-centred care, helping residents with bathing, dressing and oral care while promoting independence and choice.

You will participate in care reviews, administer medications safely, and contribute to social activities within the home. Joining Agincare means being part of a large, not-for-profit-influenced provider with extensive training up to QCF level 5 and opportunities

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
• Please note this is currently a bank contract.

Responsibilities

• Person-centred care - you will ensure residents receive personal care including bathing, dressing and oral care, respecting their preferences and promoting independence.
• Review - you will contribute to and carry out care reviews with residents to reflect their needs in plans.
• Medication - you will administer residents' medications in a safe, compliant way.
• Social Activity - you will lead and participate in trips and activities within the home.
• Leadership - you may support new starters or staff, shadow and develop, and may lead the home when senior managers are unavailable.

A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

• Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
• Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
• Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way
• Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
• Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.
