Job summary

Agincare is hiring a Care Assistant Nights in Lydney, England. This role is a night shift/bank position with flexible hours and will suit experienced professionals or those new to care seeking a change.

You will provide companionship, personal care and support with medications, meals and mobility, helping clients live as independently as possible while engaging in social activities within the home.

Qualifications

• 12 months right to work in the UK
• Night shift availability required
• Bank position—flexible to work as and when required

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, engagement and communication to clients
• Assist with personal care such as washing, bathing or showering and dressing
• Prompt, assist or administer medications and creams
• Support clients with healthy meals, snacks and beverages
• Assist with light domestic tasks and cleaning
• Support mobility to help clients remain as independent as possible
• Organize social activities and outings within the home

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• This is a night shift position, so you must be available to work nights
• This is a bank position, so you must be flexible to work as and when required

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
