Job summary

Agincare is looking for caring individuals to join Rodley House in Lydney as a Care Assistant on night shifts. This bank position offers flexibility to work days or nights as needed, with a pay rate of £12.91 per hour and a range of benefits.

You must have at least 12 months of right to work in the UK and be ready to support residents with daily living activities. Agincare provides funded training up to QCF level 5, career development opportunities, a pension scheme, and other perks.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and engagement to residents.
• Assisting with personal care including washing, bathing or showering, and support with dressing and oral care.
• Medication prompting, assisting or administering medications as required.
• Supporting meals with healthy options and hydration.
• Light domestic tasks and mobility assistance to promote independence.
• Facilitating social activities and outings within the home.

What is required from you?

• This is a bank position, so you must be flexible to work as and when requiredDay and night bank roles available

A day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals – Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
