Agincare is seeking a Bank Night Senior Care Assistant for Sunnymeade care home in Somerset. The role offers £13.46 per hour and a focus on person-centred care, medication administration, and leadership in night shifts.

Qualifications

• 12 months right to work in the UK is required.
• Experience as a senior care assistant or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care including bathing, dressing and oral care according to residents' preferences.
• Contribute to and carry out care reviews to update resident plans.
• Administer residents' medications safely and in accordance with policies.
• Lead and participate in social activities and trips within the home.
• Support new starters or staff through shadowing and development; may lead the home in the absence of senior managers.

A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

• Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
• Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs
• Medication - You will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive and compliant way
• Social Activity - You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home
• Leadership - you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up on to lead the home where more senior managers are not available
