Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Night Care Assistant in Weston-super-Mare to join our care team. The role involves companionship, personal care, medication prompting, and supporting meals and activities through the night. A full-time position of 36 hours per week includes alternate weekends.

We offer fully funded training up to QCF level 5, a company pension, on-demand pay, and a range of staff benefits. Prior care experience is desirable, but comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• 12 months right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, support, and engagement for clients.
• Assist with personal care including washing, dressing and oral care.
• Prompt or administer medications and creams as required.
• Support meals with healthy options and hydration.
• Perform light domestic tasks and mobility support.
• Encourage social activities and community engagement.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• There is one full time position available working 36 hours per week, to include alternate weekends
• Experience in a care role is desirable, however full training will be provided

Day in the life of a Care Assistant

• Companionship - Providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
• Personal care-supporting with a wash bath or shower and supporting the client with dressing and oral care.
• Medication-Prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams.
• Meals Supporting the client with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
• Domestic tasks- light cleaning tasks.
• Mobility - Supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility.
• Social activities- Trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
