Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Astbury Manor Care Home in Bracknell, Berkshire. You will support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

To be successful you should have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes and around two years’ experience. You must communicate effectively, be flexible, and uphold our values of compassion and respect.

Qualifications

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years' experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment.
• Monitor wellbeing and update care plans as needs change.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support development where required.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals, escalating concerns when needed.
