Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Esher Manor Care Home in Esher, Surrey. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a supportive, respectful environment.

The role requires an NVQ 3 or equivalent and at least two years of relevant care experience, with strong communication skills and a flexible approach to duties. DBS disclosure will be funded by Avery.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to create a safe, caring, innovative and inclusive environment.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and be aware of changes impacting care and update care plans as needed.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and health/social care professionals, escalating concerns as needed.
