Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Astbury Manor Care Home in Bracknell, Berkshire. You will work with our care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, supportive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

You will monitor resident wellbeing, assist with care planning and medication support, and contribute to monthly evaluations. The role requires NVQ 3 or equivalent and at least two years’ experience in a similar setting, plus

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
