Job summary

The Cinnamon Care Collection is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts at Thurnby Fields, a new care home opening September 2026 in Leicester. We require passionate, reliable carers who work well in a close-knit team and are committed to promoting independence and choice for residents.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), have knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards, supervisory experience, and medication administration qualifications.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) required.
• Sound knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards.
• 2 years' experience with older people and dementia.
• Experience as Senior Care Assistant desirable.

Responsibilities

• Care for residential and dementia residents in a night-shift team.
• Provide medication administration duties where qualified.
• Mentor and support junior care assistants.
• Participate in inductions, training and ongoing development.

Thurnby Fieldsis a luxurious residential and dementia care home based in Leicester, offering state-of-the-art facilities, which include 73 large en-suite bedroomsand 10luxury care suites. The home also features luxurious lounges and dining rooms, an on-site café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Senior Care Assistants to be part of the care team looking after our residential and dementia residents. Our team members must have a real passion for care and want to work as part of a close-knit team supporting each other, and wanting to promote choice, individuality and independence to our residents at all times.

We are looking to recruit experienced Senior Carers who hold a NVQ level 3 (or equivalent qualification) and have a sound knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards. You will have supervisory experience, Medication administration experience (& relevant qualification) as well as being a supportive mentor to the care assistants. You will need 2 years' previous experience gained from working with older people and people who experience dementia - previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant is desirable.
