Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Highcliffe Care Home in Sunderland. You will join a close-knit team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ level 3 in care (or equivalent), have 2 years of experience in a similar setting, and demonstrate excellent communication with residents and professionals. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needs change.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your primary role is to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, establishing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, ensuring care plans are updated to reflect their changing needs, and supporting residents with medication requirements. Additionally, you'll be involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking evaluations. Acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health professionals, you'll ensure that requests, concerns or complaints are addressed. The ideal candidate must have an NVQ level 3 in care, two years experience in a similar environment, effective communication skills, and a responsive, supportive attitude. A positive attitude towards supporting and developing both residents and staff is essential.

Qualifications
