Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Mousehold View Care Home in Norwich. The role focuses on high-standard personal care and supports a caring, respectful environment within a welcoming team.

Full-time, on-site role with induction and training; DBS check will be required and eligibility to work in the UK must be provided. No prior experience necessary as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
• Assist residents in all their personal hygiene care, ensuring independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise and escalate clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure ulcers, falls, and signs of infections in a timely manner.
• Carry out safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
• Uphold the values of caring, support, honesty, respect and accountability in all duties.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.

• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
