Job summary

Yarnley House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead shifts and deliver high quality, person-centred care. You will oversee medication, monitor residents, and maintain records while communicating with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Level 3 desirable) and practical experience in a care team, with a commitment to ongoing development. Alternate weekends are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required; Level 3 is desirable or progression towards it.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach to residents.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our brand-new, luxury service is set in the small village of Crow, which is very close to Ringwood. We provide quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for 72-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.99 per hour
• Contracted to 24.5-49 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
