Job summary

Bupa UK’s Parkside Care Home in Reading is hiring a Senior Care Assistant to join a 44-hour-per-week shift pattern covering days and nights. The role is permanent full-time with a salary of £13.25–£14.84 per hour, depending on experience, and an emphasis on compassionate, person-centred care.

You will lead a unit, support clinical duties, manage handovers, train new staff and build strong relationships with residents, families and external teams.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards an NVQ3 in care (support provided)
• Motivated, positive, with strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment of close‑knit teamwork
• Previous experience in similar role with passion for compassionate care

• Support clinical duties – observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
• Drive and manage a team of Care Assistants, responsible for shift handovers
