Location: Broad Oak Manor Care Home, Arnolds Lane, Sutton-at-Hone, Dartford, Kent DA4 9HF

Contract: Permanent – Full Time

Hours: 44 hours per week, covering days

Salary: £13.25 to £14.84 per hour depending on experience

About the Home

Broad Oak Manor is a beautiful Edwardian manor house set within a peaceful village, providing residential, nursing and short stay care, including palliative and convalescence care.

Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day responsibility for running a unit
• Support clinical duties, including observing under a nurse, issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping
• Drive and manage a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers
• Assist with training and supervision of new staff so they feel welcomed and supported
• Build relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
• Assist residents with a range of personal care duties

Qualifications & Skills

• Completed or working towards an NVQ3 in care (or equivalent).
• Positive, motivated and with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a close‑knit team.
• Previous experience in a similar role and a passion for making a real difference to people’s lives.
