Job summary

The Cinnamon Care Collection is opening Thurnby Fields in Leicester, a luxurious residential and dementia care home. We are hiring enthusiastic Senior Care Assistants for night shifts, offering £15.10 per hour and full-time contracts with alternate weekend work.

You will support residents with care, supervise junior staff, administer medications where qualified, and uphold CQC Fundamental Standards. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and at least two years’ experience with older people or dementia are

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care recognised by CQC standards.
• Sound knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards.
• 2 years’ experience caring for older people or dementia.
• Medication administration experience with relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Care for residential and dementia residents on night shifts.
• Supervise junior care assistants and mentor the team.
• Administer medications where qualified and follow care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safety and hygiene standards.

Thurnby Fields is a luxurious residential and dementia care home based in Leicester, offering state-of-the-art facilities, which include 73 large en-suite bedrooms and 10 luxury care suites. The home also features luxurious lounges and dining rooms, an on-site café bar, a cinema and a professional hair and beauty salon.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Senior Care Assistants to be part of the care team looking after our residential and dementia residents. Our team members must have a real passion for care and want to work as part of a close-knit team supporting each other, and wanting to promote choice, individuality and independence to our residents at all times.

We are looking to recruit experienced Senior Carers who hold a NVQ level 3 (or equivalent qualification) and have a sound knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards. You will have supervisory experience, Medication administration experience (& relevant qualification) as well as being a supportive mentor to the care assistants. You will need 2 years’ previous experience gained from working with older people and people who experience dementia - previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant is desirable.
