Cathay Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Forres, Moray. You will guide and support the team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.

You will oversee medication, monitor wellbeing, and ensure smooth shift operations, with strong communication and leadership expected. Benefits include paid PVG, pension, and uniform.

Competenze

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required; Level 3 desirable.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Our purpose built care home is situated on the woodland edge of Forres, in the beautiful countryside of Moray. We proudly offer Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 41-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.50 per hour
• Welcome Bonus of £500
• Contracted to up to 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
