Job summary

Etive House Care Home in Scotland is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support the team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care to residents.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of shifts, ensuring organized and high-standard care, including medication oversight and wellbeing monitoring.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum); Level 3 desirable.
• Willingness to work towards Medication administration training with competency.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality person centred care.
• You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift.
• Oversee medication, monitor residents' wellbeing and respond to any changes.

Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, we offer small group living accommodation for up to 62-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract Up to £15.10 per hour Contracted to up to 44 hours per week £500 Welcome Bonus (paid upon passing 6-month probation) Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard.

Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
