Job summary

Woodlands Care Home in Aberdeen is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, personal care and emotional wellbeing. You will work within a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, following care plans and maintaining dignity and independence for residents.

This role welcomes both experienced carers and newcomers, with full training and ongoing development. A supportive environment and opportunities to grow are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living including personal care and mobility.
• Support nutritious meals and hydration aligned with care plans.

Job description

Our care home, nestled in the tranquil Craigiebuckler area of Aberdeen, offers distinguished care services tailored to a variety of needs, including Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite, and Palliative care. With a capacity for 81 residents, we provide a serene and supportive environment where personalized care meets exceptional living.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
