Job summary

Beechgrove Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead the care team on shift and deliver safe, person‑centred care to 70 residents in Lanark. You will oversee medication administration, maintain records and communicate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

SVQ Level 2 is required, Level 3 desirable, with medication training essential.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum).
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Job description

Our private nursing home is tucked away within the picturesque Lanark countryside, offering specialist care for 70-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.50 per hour
• Contracted to full time & part time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
