Job summary

Acorn Lodge in Coventry, run by Avery Healthcare Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to provide high-quality personal care, monitor residents’ wellbeing, update care plans and assist with medication administration. You will work closely with a dedicated care team and act as a main point of contact for residents and relatives.

Applicants should have an NVQ 3 in care (or equivalent) and at least two years’ experience in a similar setting, plus an enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in care for care homes (or equivalent).
• Two years' experience in a similar care environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring and inclusive environment alongside the Care team.
• Monitor each resident's wellbeing and act on changes to their needs.
• Update care plans and written records to reflect changes in care.
• Take part in person-centred care planning, implementing and monitoring plans and carrying out monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication.
• Supervise staff and support their development.
• Act as key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals.
• Ensure reasonable requests are acted on and elevate concerns or complaints.
