Job summary

Acacia Mews Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts. You will support the care team to deliver personal care, monitor residents, and keep care plans and records up to date.

Applicants must hold NVQ 3 in care with two years' relevant experience and be eligible to work in the UK. You will be committed to creating a safe, respectful environment for residents, relatives, and staff.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in care or equivalent for care homes.
• Two years' experience in a similar care environment.
• DBS Disclosure check and verification of eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and respond to changes in needs.
• Keep care plans and records updated as needs change.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and evaluation.
• Assist residents with medication requirements.
• Provide supervision and support to other staff as needed.
• Act as a primary contact for residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals.

What the job involves

• Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and act on changes to their care needs

• Take part in person-centred care planning, implementing it and evaluating monthly
