Job description

This Senior Care Assistant post sits at Hinckley House Care Home, one of the homes run by Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. The work centres on delivering personal care alongside the care team, keeping residents' care plans current and supporting them with medication. The role also covers staff supervision and acting as the main contact for families and health and social care professionals. Fit depends on an NVQ 3 in care, two years' experience in a similar setting and a DBS check.

What the job involves

• Deliver high standards of personal care alongside the Care team, creating a safe, caring environment for residents, visitors and staff
• Monitor each resident's wellbeing, identify changes that affect care, and update care plans and written records
• Take part in person-centred care planning, implementing plans and carrying out monthly evaluations
• Support residents with their medication
• Carry out staff supervisions and support staff development
• Act as key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals, acting on reasonable requests and escalating concerns or complaints
